Waikoloa Beach Resort Kolea: 

Real estate activity was slower in the Waikoloa Beach Resort Kolea this year compared to 2014.  Not only in sales, but the number of new listings as well.  This trend looks to be changing as there are 2 significant sales under contract going into the new year.  December closed out 2015 with four new listings.  Unit 1A is a ground floor 3 bedroom unit listed at $1,095,000.  Next, unit 4C is an ocean view penthouse unit with 3 bedrooms listed at $2,799,500.  Unit 15F is a 2 bedroom interior penthouse unit listed at $899,000.  Finally, unit 14M is an end unit penthouse with 2 bedrooms listed at $1,365,000.

Waikoloa Beach: 

The resort saw an increase of 15% in closed sales compared to 2014.  While some neighborhoods saw a small decrease in sales, others saw a large increase.  In addition, new listings were up 25%.  Average days on market was down 4% and the median sale price rose slightly.  Things aren’t slowing down in 2016.  January is proving to be a strong month so far for escrows & listings.
